Ok so this is officially what happened and what we are going to do about it....

I have heard many rumours as to why the club was closed so lets put them in order now.... There was a crowd of 350 people present before the shutting and the rest of the tickets on the door had been reserved so it had nothing to do with low numbers we were very happy with the turnout, there were NO fights and certainly no violence, there were no drug overdoes or anything like that.

Cops rocked up at 10pm intent on shutting the club down, all of the reasons that they had listed of why to shut it down were proven wrong by the club so they left disappointed. They rocked up again just before midnight with around 30 officers & also the fire brigade basically telling the club that we are going to find a reason to shut you down. The club owner talked to the cops for at least 20 minutes proving we had the correct licences, permits and everything we needed to have the club legally open which the police completely ignored because they had an agenda and had already made their decision. So the fire brigade searched the kitchen expecting to find a fire hazard but of course they didn't find one, in the end a speaker stack that was sticking out 30cm into the corridor was the excuse they pinned on us as they claim it was a fire hazard... we instantly pushed the stack back but they said sorry its too late. So they shut the club down at about 12:15

Everybody here at Nox is bitterly disappointed with the treatment we received, Pato, and to a lesser extent myself, worked his ass off for 4 months day and night on this event and to see it shut down before it really got going was shattering to both of us. There seems to be outside sources (I wont name who) that are angry at the clubs success and are determined to cause trouble till we are gone..... BUT let me tell you we will be back bigger and better then ever in 2008 !

Now we understand our regulars and NYE crowd were shattered by the incident so please stay tuned as we will be doing a FREE party to make up for this tragedy and it WILL feature an international and an all-star local line-up.

Nox cares about their punters and we WILL make this up to you no matter people try and throw at us.
