I went to the midnight screening at IMAX and I have to say Star Trek was awesome.
It was a VERY VERY different film to any of the other Star Treks or even Star Wars's for that matter. It was probably comparable to Transformers or Dark Knight. High adrenalin. With some very funny comic moments.
All in all an awesome film, I think the entire audience was riveted to their seats from start to finish and the cinema was packed. One of the lady's there said every cinema across all the cinemas owned in that chain were sold out.
I think it was probably as good a film as Dark Knight. Not quite as dark but the action sequences and humour made it better.
Highlights for me:
* Old Spock, Leonard Nimoy completely owned the screen in every scene he was in.
* Sulu's fold out sword was very cool and got a good round of cheering from the audience.
* New Spock, paralysing Kirk was quite funny
* Simon Pegg, everytime he opened his mouth he was ridiculously funny.
Go see the movie!

We saw it friday and loved it too!!! My mum thought it was better than most of the old startrek movies 
go J.J Abrams for yet another fine production.
(Lost had better have a decent ending!)

I thought it was awsom!
I loved new spock! (syler from heros) i think it might be the pointy fairy ears and bowl haircut!
The time travel plot got a bit confusing towards the end though but it was still understandable.

best ever! i'm a trekie and i have to say it shat all over the old movies. i wish i hadn't watched it so i could watch it for the first time again.

Another person i liked in it was the guy who is from shaun of the dead. he's awsom.
I was never a huge star trek fan but i also wish i hadnt seen it yet so i could watch it for the first time again
